"Collapse Roppongihills" by Tasho Ishi*

Tasho Ishi / Lorenzo Dalbosco

This track depicts the collapse from prosperity to ruin.

A rhapsody on the limits and rupture of a certain phallic culture.

It portrays Roppongi Hills as a future ruin,

where skyscrapers symbolizing phallic-driven pursuits

expand from “giant” to “super-giant,”

only to collapse and become dysfunctional in the aftermath triggered by ParaPara steps.

ParaPara culture is a Japanese transformation of Italian-derived culture encompassing High Energy, Italo Disco, and Eurodance,

which have been hedonistically consumed primarily in places like Roppongi.

This video depicts a reverse thrust from Tokyo, radicalizing and shaking Roppongi Hills.

Filmed by Lorenzo Dalbosco in Bologna, Italy, and Roppongi, Tokyo.

The Italian contemporary dance group “Parini Secondo” performs their unique style of Parapara.

The ruins of medieval Italy and the landscape of Roppongi Hills collide and spark apart at 170 BPM.
